Recent Dark Pattern Reviews

Wait To Play reported on Oct 21, 2022
Not for the base play but for some events.
Artificial Scarcity reported on Sep 9, 2022
the main screen is cluttered with limited time offers. Most of them aren't even really limited because even after the timers run out they'll just make the same offer later.
Reciprocity reported on Sep 9, 2022
you can send or ask for resources needed to power up your units, but not a lot.
Gambling / Loot Boxes reported on Sep 9, 2022
yes you can spend money to buy loot boxes to gain more units, and resources needed to power up your units. And while you can get some boxes for free, the better ones you need to spend money to get
Recurring Fee reported on Sep 9, 2022
technically? they're not a subscription thing but every month there is a thing that gives you rewards for getting points, and if you buy the "seasons pass" you get significantly better rewards. There are also more than one of these running at a time.
Can't Pause or Save reported on Sep 9, 2022
tho it is pvp so it's at least somewhat understandable
Social Obligation / Guilds reported on Sep 9, 2022
I don't but that's because I'm weird. But there is 100% a guild system designed to have that effect. Since theres a weekly guild tournament that each guild member needs to participate in every day to increase your chances of winning it, that tournament being one of the only ways to get the rarer loot boxes for free, so theres a lot of pressure to play everyday if you care about upsetting your clanmates.
Pay to Win reported on Sep 9, 2022
the better units are something you need to buy. Or they'll give you one for free but you need to buy more of it to upgrade. The also have multiple point based reward seasons where you can buy a season pass to get significantly better rewards that are either difficult or impossible to get otherwise
Premium Currency reported on Sep 9, 2022
you can technically get some with out spending a cent, but it's in such tiny amounts it'd take forever to gain a useable amount
Competition reported on Sep 9, 2022
there is pretty much no solo play, and very little co-op play

Screenshot Time for a Tower Defense like no other! In Rush Royale towers are replaced by mighty warriors and wizards!

Base defense games got serious... but are still are a lot of fun! Your heroes are the castle defense, last and best hope against a rush of enemies. Watch them rain arrows and magic missiles in a valiant struggle at horde defense!

It's a unique combination of a turret defense and a collectibe card game! Just like random dice rolls decide the fate of battling armies, here you must depend on Lady Luck to win and prevail! Assemble a deck of most powerful tower defense heroes!

It's TD... but with a competitive twist! Rush against your best friends (or worst foes) - the first one to complete the castle defense wins! In a way, it is a real time PvP defense - what few TD games have!

Protect your kingdom! Clash with mighty enemies and fearsome bosses, unleash magic and steel upon your foes in battle! It's one of the most fast paced tower defense games... and it looks as cute as a merge game, too!

Use your turret defense resources wisely - like in good base defense games, the smartest general wins!

Collect, defend and dominate! Rush Royale is here!
