Recent Dark Pattern Reviews

Playing by Appointment reported on Oct 5, 2022
Joining a “detective club” is particularly bad about this as you are expected to play at the same time as other players, daily.
Social Obligation / Guilds reported on Oct 5, 2022
Early in the game you will be asked to join a detective club. It is optional, but the game constantly reminds you that it’s an option and tries to make it appealing. Clubs also have pressure to regularly play and provide gifts to others.
Wait To Play reported on Oct 5, 2022
Uses an “energy bar” that you must wait to fill in order to play.
Playing by Appointment reported on Jun 8, 2022
There are a lot of events that are only open for a few hours/days (team events, rewards for completing a certain number of levels, etc). As well as events that are open for a fee weeks/months but you need to play a lot to finish the events/get the best rewards for those longer events. There are always multiple events happening simultaneously so you feel like you are always missing out on something.
Wait To Play reported on Jun 8, 2022
I feel like it's not THAT bad in this game because while there is an energy bar, it never ran out for me since there are so many ways to refill it (monetary and non-monetary based refills).
Advertisements reported on May 26, 2022
EXTREMELY. The daily tasks require you to watch at least one ad per day, and it is very tedious to do tasks without the bonus given by watching extra ads, which are usually 30seconds long and eat a lot of data, and can be for everything from other mobile games to cars to apps to brands and movies
