There is a friend activity log that shows new UR (ultra rare) cards your friends got, and full combos achieved on songs. There's also a friend leaderboard for events.
The game has login bonuses with occasional premium currency rewards, and daily tasks with premium currency for completing all of them.
Achievements for number of members (cards collected), songs played, etc.
The structure of the game's periodic events is just grinding a small subset of the song library for event points to get rewards. The only exception are Token events, where you can collect tokens (hence the name) from any song, BUT you have to play one particular song (usually a newly released one) using them to get most of the event points.
It is if you play it to collect cards, as the new ones are released faster than you can get them, unless you restrict yourself to just ONE member. If you just play it as a rhythm game, it doesn't really matter.
Technically yes, but the advantage is literally just numbers, and doesn't really result in any tangible benefit, as it isn't really a competitive game. There are still a lot of people who spend money to get the best cards and grind non-stop (or account share) just to get an obscene amount of event points and be high on the leaderboard.
That's how they release all the cards. A limited-time banner with a particular card or set of cards. There are usually options to get them easier months down the line.
You can play songs for LP (live points). They recover slowly over time, and you can spend items or premium currency to refill.

It's a gacha game, so it's all about that.
